Energy transition is a central issue for societies around the world. Access to reliable, clean and cost-efficient energy supply has become a business imperative. Customers and stakeholders expect companies to actively engage in initiatives to mitigate climate change.

At Westend Bank, we are committed to mitigating climate change by financially supporting energy transition. We support energy generation from wind and solar, as well as other renewable sources. We lend to energy storage projects, such as batteries and PtX, but also finance energy-efficiency measures on new and existing properties.

We work with project developers, independent power producers, service providers and suppliers of core components to help them implement their projects. Our clients are experienced in their field, but do not necessarily have the track record that’s required by other traditional lenders. We offer short, unbureaucratic decision-making paths to tailor-made loans.

We cover the niche between retailers and wholesalers and provide interim solutions in different project phases. Our loans range from smaller projects that will be incorporated into a portfolio or, where long-term offtake agreements have yet to be signed, to large, international projects.
